The Lemon Ice King of Corona
An Italian ice stand at the corner of 108th Street and 52nd Avenue, opened in 1944, selling dozens of flavors from a walk-up window. It faces William F. Moore Park, known locally as Spaghetti Park.
Why it matters
A neighborhood institution for more than 80 years and a survivor of Corona's Italian-American era; its storefront appeared in the opening credits of 'The King of Queens.'
52-02 108th Street, Corona, NY 11368
